Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on Yard Crew & Maintenance Manager to oversee daily operations of our Grounds Crew, Yard, Shop, and Facility Maintenance Program. This role is critical to ensuring our aircraft support crew, equipment, vehicles, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, enabling smooth and safe aerial application operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain yard operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance

Work with HR to oversee maintenance schedules for ground support crew, equipment, vehicles, and facility infrastructure

Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance programs
-
Supervise inventory of parts, tools, fuel, and supplies; order as needed
-
Operate and maintain equipment such as loaders, forklifts, tractors, pumps, and chemical handling systems
-
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
-
Support pilots and operations team with timely equipment readiness during peak seasons

Supervise and train yard staff as required

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records
Qualifications:
-
Experience in maintenance management, agricultural operations, or a related field
-
Strong mechanical aptitude
-
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
-
Knowledge of workplace safety and environmental regulations
-
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work long hours during peak agricultural seasons
-
Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 considered an asset)

Basic welding or fabrication skills

Position Details
Summer employment (April – Oct -Start and Finish dates are negotiable)
Wages in accordance with company pay schedule and individual skills and experience. On job training is provided.

Roland Air Spray Ltd. is a locally owned, service focused ag retail located near Roland MB. We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Seasonal Summer Agronomist to add to our team. The work requires significant attention to detail and safety. Employee must be willing to work long and flexible work shifts, that include weekends.
