Roland Air Spray Ltd. is a locally owned, service focused ag retail located near Roland MB. We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Seasonal Summer Agronomist to add to our team. The work requires significant attention to detail and safety. Employee must be willing to work long and flexible work shifts, that include weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential customers

Provide timely agronomic information and advice to current and potential customers.

Provide in season services at the retail, while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members.

Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:

You are enrolled in Agriculture or Agribusiness Programming

Retail skills an asset.

Valid driver’s license.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, time management, and written communication skills and willingness to train.

Strong agricultural background in sales, and agronomy

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.

This position is unique, exciting and requires a very dedicated, enthusiastic team player!

Under the direction of the Rogator Operator and Grounds Manager, this position provides support to the Ground Spraying Operations. The work requires significant attention to detail and safety. Employee must be willing to work long and flexible work shifts, that include weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively operate Tandem Water Truck
- Perform vehicle inspections; clean and perform mandatory maintenance to equipment including basic troubleshooting
- Prepare for custom application agricultural pesticides according to the customer’s work order
- Drive to and from customer locations on public roads
- Transfer bulk products from trailers and trucks into the spreader/sprayer
- Ensure the accurate completion of associated paperwork
- Work in the warehouse assisting customers with loading and unloading purchases
-Organize the Warehouse and Track Inventory
- Represent the company in a professional, positive and pleasant manner
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Perform all tasks with safety being the number one priority
- Previous experience operating farm equipment or heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends
- Ability to work independently
- High degree of attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Mechanical aptitude and previous experience working in farm/fertilizer operations would be considered an asset
